Palm Jumeirah Monorail
If you are planning to spend your day in Palm Jumeirah, then this straddle-type monorail is a great option. The Palm Jumeirah Monorail was launched back in April 2009 in Dubai and was the first monorail in the Middle East that connects the Palm Jumeirah Island station to mainland Dubai.
Palm Jumeirah monorail is not just a means of transport; it is one of the best ways to explore exciting landmarks by taking the scenic route. The monorail connects Atlantis hotel to the Gateways station within 10 minute’s drive.
The Palm Jumeirah monorails are driverless, with an attendant to cater to any issues during the journey. The 5.5 km monorail line provides a chance to explore some unique vantage points with a low impact on the environment.
As of now, the monorail has three stations: Al Ittihad Park Station, the Nakheel Mall Station and the Atlantis Aquaventure Station.

Palm Monorail Stations
There are four stations of Palm monorails that connect the key landmarks of Palm Jumeirah. You can begin a journey from Gateway Station, pinned at the entry of the city. From here you can head to Golden Mile Galleria to Al Ittihad Park Station, Nakheel Mall and Atlantis Aquaventure station.
Also, the Pointe Station is all set for inauguration. The station is surrounded by scenic views with more than 80 restaurants and World’s Largest Fountain display.
Tram Or Light Rail
The Dubai tram was launched back in 2014 by the Roads & Transport Authority and stretched over 10.6 km. However, authorities are planning to extend it to 15 km further. After the extension, it will be possible to travel on a tram from Dubai Marina to Burj Al Arab and Madinat Jumeirah.
Currently, the service is part of Palm Jumeirah’s public transportation system. It loops around Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach and passes by Al Sufouh Street, Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Pearl. Tram is also indirectly aligned with Palm Monorail and the Dubai Metro at JLT Tram Station.

Dubai Tram Ticket Price
Tram service in Palm Jumeirah doesn’t cost you much. Also, you can pay for a Dubai tram ticket via Nol card. Below are the pricing details of the Dubai tram:

Dubai Tram Timings
There are a total of 11 tram stations. The Dubai tram operates Monday to Saturday from 06:00 am to 1:00 am (of the next day). While on Sunday, the Dubai tram operates from 9:00 am to 1:00 am.
Dubai Metro
As of now, there is no Palm Jumeirah Metro station in the city. However, there are some metro stations available near Palm Jumeirah including Dubai Internet City and Nakheel. The metro service was launched in 2009, offering commutation at affordable rates.
The service runs two lines in Dubai i.e., Red Line, Green Line and Route 2020. Route 2020 is an extension of the Dubai Metro service which connects Jebel Ali Metro Station to the Expo 2020 site. The Dubai Metro service further connects with Dubai International Airport, Mall of the Emirates and Burj Khalifa.

Below you can find the timings of both the Red and Green metro lines. However, it is important to note here that the timings vary considering the days. That said, new timings are announced by RTA for holidays. Apart from that, these are the regular timings of both lines:
- Monday to Thursday: 05:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight)
- Fridays: 5:00 am to 1:00 am (of the next day)

Commuters can use Nol cards to pay the metro fare while students and senior citizens can also avail discounts on Blue Nol cards.

Further, Bus 8 route covers Deira Bus Station, Ibn Battuta Metro Station and Mall. It also runs parallel to the shore on Sufouh Road.
