BMW
BMW is currently offering two Plug-in hybrid cars in the UAE namely BMW 5 Series and XM Series.
5 Series
The BMW 5 is a sedan series known for its sporty appearance, driveability and handling. The 5 series is equipped with a powerful combustion engine paired with two drive units. The average fuel consumption of the Series is 5.5 to 5.3 litre/100 km.
XM Series
The XM Series offers a TwinPower turbo V8 engine with plug-in hybrid technology that can produce a maximum of 653 hp. The fuel consumption of this PHEV is 2.7 litre/100 km.
Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner
Bentley Flying Spur is a perfect combination of luxury and speed. The car is equipped with a 2.9-litre V6 engine supported by a 103 kW electric motor. Combined, they provide Flying Spur with a top speed of 285 km/h and can accelerate Spur from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.
Ferrari SF90 Spider & Stradale
The SF90 Series of Ferrari is known for its aerodynamic shape, powerful engine and high speed. The Series features a V8 turbo engine with three electric motors that can generate 162 kW. The maximum electric range of SF90 is 25 km.
Jaguar
Jaguar is concerned about reducing the carbon footprint of its vehicles. Therefore, the brand has a dedicated EV platform named Panthera. Currently, Jaguar is selling two Plug-in hybrid cars in the UAE.
E-Pace

F-Pace
The fuel economy of the Jaguar F-Pace is 2.7-litre/100km with 59 km of electric range. Whereas, the car’s carbon footprint is reduced to 62 g/km only.

The automobile brand Porsche is known for unveiling cars with performance-oriented and technologically advanced features. The PHEV models of Porsche listed below are also equipped with these features.
Taycan
The four-door sports saloon Taycan is equipped with a powerful combustion engine and an electric motor. The electric consumption of Taycan ranges between 19.6 to 29.3 kWh/100 km. Whereas, the tailpipe carbon emission is zero.
Cayenne
Porsche’s SUV model Cayenne has a top speed of 253 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. This is possible because of the hybrid engine that produces 462 PS.
Panamera
Panamera features a 100 kW electric motor that can produce 136 PS, providing a maximum speed of 280 km/h. Therefore, the Panamera can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
Lexus
The most interesting fact about Lexus is that it is considered a hybrid leader in the automobile market. It was the first brand to work on hybrid SUVs and also to use hybrid vehicles in the Nurburgring 24 Hours race.
Currently, Lexus is offering three PHEV model series in the UAE.
NXH
The hybrid system of NXH is a perfect balance between performance and efficiency. The 2.5-litre hybrid engine produces a total of 275 hp. However, the fuel consumption is only 21.5km/l.
ESH
Lexus ESH is counted among the most fuel-efficient luxury PHEVs. The in-line 4-cylinder 2.5-litre hybrid engine of ESH has a fuel consumption of 24.1km/l.
LSH
In LSH Series, a Multi-stage hybrid technology is used by Lexus. Due to this, the 3.6-litre V6 engine has an output of 354 hp with an electric range of 16.1 km.
Land Rover Range Rover
The Range Rover PHEV is equipped with an intelligent plug-in hybrid system with an electric range of 48km. Under the hood, Land Rover offers a powerful engine that can generate a total of 404 PS and can accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. Despite a powerful engine, the combined fuel economy is 2.8-litre/100 km.
McLaren Artura
Artura features a carbon fibre lightweight body to cater to its top speed of 330 km/h. The vehicle is powered by a V6 petrol engine paired with a 95 PS electric motor that can generate a total of 680 PS. The Artura plug-in system only takes 2.5 hours to charge 80% of the battery.
Toyota RAV4
According to the annual non-luxury car market report 2022, Toyota is one of the most popular automobile brands in the used car market. The core reason for this is the cutting-edge hybrid technology and fuel efficiency of Toyota models including the RAV4.
RAV 4 has a 2.5-litre hybrid electric engine that produces 176 hp providing a fuel economy of 22.2 km/l.
Jeep Wrangler
Jeep offers a plug-in hybrid version of its iconic off-roading model Wrangler. The hybrid turbocharged engine can produce 375 hp and can accelerate the Wrangler from 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. The fuel consumption of a hybrid Wrangler is 19.98 km/litre.

XC90 Recharge
The XC90 Recharge is the plug-in hybrid SUV model of Volvo. The hybrid engine of XC90 produces 455 hp and has an electric range of 68 km with a fuel consumption of 1.3-litre/100 km.
XC60
Volvo offers XC60 with all the modern safety features and a smart hybrid engine. The hybrid engine of XC60 has reduced tailpipe emission with an electric range of 53 km.
S90 Recharge
In the plug-in sedan segment, Volvo offers S90 Recharge. The car not only has zero tailpipe emission in electric mode but also has an electric range of 61 km which makes daily commute fuel-efficient.
Infiniti Q50
The Q50 is equipped with a 3.0-litre V6 engine combined with a battery and electric motor. A setup that generates 300 hp that can accelerate Q50 from 0 to 100 km in 4.9 seconds.
Hyundai Santa Fe
Hyundai installed an SUV-specific hybrid system to provide Santa Fe with optimal speed and braking performance. The 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine is paired with a 66.9 kW motor generating a torque of 304 Nm.
