The thought process began in 1985 when Nissan felt the need to expand its horizons and enter the European and American markets. Nissan’s mission was to produce luxury vehicles best suited to the needs of people on the other side of the world.
Additionally, the vehicles were supposed to be superior in terms of design and performance. Eventually, in 1987, the ‘Infiniti’ name was finalised for the luxury division.
The same year marked the introduction of the Infiniti logo including two lines leading to the infinite horizon. Unlike the Porsche logo or logos of other major brands, the Infiniti logo hasn’t changed.
