HOW TO REGISTER FOR A DEWA EV ACCOUNT TO ACCESS EV GREEN CHARGER USER DASHBOARD
You can access DEWA EV Green Charger user dashboard and other services after creating your EV account. However, when you buy a new or used car in Dubai and register it at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai. If it’s an EV, DEWA creates an EV account and sends an email notification with the account details.
EV owners can charge their vehicles in an hour after registering with RTA Dubai or after their EV account is created.

- Login to the DEWA website or app and apply for EV account creation.
- You will be notified via SMS and email with a number to follow up on the status of EV account creation.

DEWA GREEN CHARGER ACCOUNT REGISTRATION FEES
Non-commercial EV users and commercial EV users are expected to pay AED 500 as the security deposit. Also, AED 29 fils per kWh + VAT applies on all EV users.
HOW TO CHARGE EV IN GUEST MODE WITHOUT A DEWA EV USER ACCOUNT
International visitors without registered EVs in Dubai don’t need to create a DEWA EV account. They are allowed to charge their vehicles in Guest Mode simply by scanning the QR code available on the charging stations. You can charge your EV in Guest Mode via the DEWA Smart app or Smart Device camera.
Here’s how you can do It via the DEWA Smart app:
- Open the DEWA app on your phone and scan the QR code to access the Green Charger page
- Select “Continue as a Guest”
- Fill the form with your details: name, EV plate number, email id and cell phone number
- OTP will be sent to you for email id verification
- Choose the charging package
- Pay the charges using Apple pay, Credit/Debit card or Noqodi
You can charge your EV in Guest Mode using your mobile phone’s camera. Scan the QR code from the camera and the rest of the steps are the same as detailed above.
