Ras Al Khaimah continues to elevate its position as one of the UAE’s forward-thinking and visitor-friendly emirates. In a major step toward improving mobility, sustainability and tourism accessibility, the RAK Transport Authority (RAKTA) has officially launched the Yellow Route, a new addition to the Internal Public Transport Project. This route is set to transform travel to one of the region’s most iconic destinations.
What is the Yellow Route in Ras Al Khaimah
The Yellow Route is a public bus service connecting Al Jazirah Al Hamra, Al Marjan Island and Jebel Jais. The service by RAKTA provides easy access to the UAE’s highest peak – Jebel Jais. Known for its panoramic views, hiking paths and the world-famous Jebel Jais Flight zipline, the mountain is one of the most visited sites of the country.
The newly launched route seamlessly links key areas of Ras Al Khaimah with the Jebel Jais mountain area. This means visitors, adventure seekers, residents and international tourists staying in the city can now reach Jebel Jais without a car or private transport.
The launch of the RAK Transport Authority’s Yellow Route is built to strengthen the emirate’s public transport network and promote buses as a safe and comfortable mobility option. Moreover, it aims to provide passengers with a smooth, convenient travel experience at an affordable fare.
