Volkswagen ID electric cars have recently received great interest in the UAE, Jordan and many Middle Eastern countries.
In this guide, we will take a look at notable features of all the cars that are part of Volkswagen’s ID series.
Volkswagen ID.3
The Volkswagen ID.3 is an electric vehicle that has been in production since 2019. It is the first model in the ID. series and the first automobile to use the modular electric drive matrix (MEB) platform. It was initially displayed as the I.D. concept vehicle at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and was introduced on September 9, 2019, at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
ID.3 comes with three different battery options. Models with a 77 kWh battery come in four and five-seat configurations, while the others only come in five. Except for the 77 kWh ones, all are equipped with a panoramic roof.
ID.3 was initially offered in three trim levels: ID.3 1st, ID.3 1st Plus, and ID.3 1st Max. All three trim levels have the same battery capacity and powertrain.
Volkswagen ID.4
ID.4, the first fully-electric crossover SUV under the Volkswagen brand, is the second model of the Volkswagen ID. series.
The ID.4 is equipped with the MEB platform’s APP 310 drive. The motor generates 109–150 kilowatts of power and 310 Nm of torque with speeds of up to 16,000 revolutions per minute. Talking about the infotainment package, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. In addition to the 5.3-inch driver display, the ID.4 also has a 10-inch infotainment screen and an optional 12-inch screen.

There are three powertrain choices available. However, unlike ID.4, the ID.5 only has one battery capacity, which is 77 kWh.
The car has a reduced drag coefficient of 0.26, which is.02 less than the ID.4. The steep roofline reduces luggage space, which is 549 litres with the rear seats unfolded and 1,561 litres when the seats are folded. It is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 kph in 10.4 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 160 km/h.
Volkswagen ID.6
Volkswagen ID.6 is an electric sport utility vehicle. It is part of the ID. series lineup and is based on the modular electric drive matrix platform. It is presently the largest car in the Volkswagen ID. Series, as well as the largest vehicle manufactured on the MEB platform. The Volkswagen ID.6, based on the VW I.D. The rear wheels are powered by a single electric motor in the base model. It can produce 177 horsepower and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds, or the other option produces 201 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. The dual-motor variant has 302 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, with a 6.6-second acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h and a top speed of 160 km/h.
