All You Need to Know About Nissan Ambition 2030
To reap the benefits electric cars offer to the environment, various automotive manufacturers have switched from petrol-powered vehicles to electric cars and are even laying out the roadmap for their future visions of transport sustainability. In November 2021, Nissan – one of the world’s leading auto manufacturing companies devoted to electrification of vehicles – unveiled Ambition 2030 whereby they laid out Nissan’s long term vision of expansion of electric vehicles.
In this guide, we will discuss everything you need to know about the Nissan Ambition 2030.
What is Nissan Ambition 2030
Before we dive into what Nissan aims to achieve under their Ambition 2030, let’s take a look at what Nissan Ambition 2030 is.
Without any doubt, the uptick in hazardous global carbon emissions is too serious a problem to be disregarded. Considering that petrol-powered vehicles are a major constituent of global carbon emissions and electric cars help to tackle climate change and reduce carbon footprint in cars, Nissan aims to achieve carbon neutrality by augmenting the use of electric vehicles.
Talking about Nissan’s ambition for 2030, Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida said that Nissan Ambition 2030 will drive the new era of electrification, advance technologies to reduce the carbon footprint and pursue new business opportunities. Over the upcoming five years, Nissan will invest a whopping ¥ 2 trillion (about AED 64 bn.) to fulfill this vision.
