Rolls-Royce Spectre Exterior
This time, Rolls-Royce has completely driven off from its signature exterior. Rather than metallic paints and near to perfect exterior, the Spectre Coupe is painted black with white colour over it. The exterior of Spectre seems to be inspired by graffiti art. However, the signature Rolls-Royce grille and a redesigned Spirit of Ecstacy is present at the front end. The car also features Phantom Coupe’s headlights and square-shaped brake lights.
A Redesigned Emblem
As mentioned above, the Spectre will be featured with a redesigned Spirit of Ecstacy. The main reason for its redesign is the aerodynamics of the car. Spectre is designed to be the lowest drag coefficient vehicle produced by Rolls-Royce to date. Therefore, to cater to the aerodynamics of the vehicle, the emblem is redesigned.
The redesigned emblem will be 17 millimetres smaller in size contrary to the older one. In the older version, the legs of Spirit were attached to the hood and the body was leaning forward. Whereas, in the redesigned version, one leg of the Spirit is in the air, and the body is leaned forward.
Artificial Intelligence in Spectre
The Rolls-Royce Spectre will be featured with the Decentralised Intelligence. This intelligence system will consist of 141,200 sender-receiver interactions. The intelligence system will control around 1000 electrical functions. This indicates the luxury and comfort the vehicle will offer to the users. For comparison, the Phantom has more than 51,000 sender-receivers and 456 electronically controlled functions.
Moreover, it is the first Rolls-Royce car after 1926 that will be built on a 23-inch wheelbase that will result in a spacious cabin.
Rolls-Royce Spectre Range
The company has not released any detail about the battery capacity of Spectre. However, it weighs around 700 kg and will be placed strategically to balance the car’s centre of gravity. Comparing the battery with other luxury electric vehicles, it can be estimated that the car will be able to cover roughly 483 km. During the testing, Spectre has made through a quarter of 2.5 million kilometres.
