Individual car owners are required to submit the following documents:
- Emirates ID
- Vehicle ownership certificate
- If the car is under the mortgage, the applicant has to submit an electronic No Objection Certificate (eNOC) from the mortgage company
- Expats must submit an NOC from the Emirates Motorsports Organization (EMSO).

HOW TO APPLY FOR RTA TOURISM CERTIFICATE
Detailed here are the steps to follow when applying for a vehicle’s tourism certificate at a Customer Happiness Centre or a vehicle registration and inspection centre:
- Head to a front desk officer at the centre.
- The officer will provide a link to the applicant. Upload the above-mentioned required documents via the provided link.

- Provide the transaction code to the front desk officer.

RTA TOURISM CERTIFICATE FEES AND VALIDITY

The service fee applicable on a tourism certificate from RTA depends on the type and vehicle capacity of the vehicle. Here is a breakdown:

- 3 and 12 ton vehicles: AED 100
- 12+ ton vehicles: AED 200

- Bus with a seating capacity of 14 to 26 passengers: AED 100

AED 20+ Knowledge and innovation fees apply on all the vehicles mentioned above and AED 50+ to issue customs book.
The tourism certificate remains valid for a period of six months from the date of issue.

These terms and conditions apply to the vehicle tourism certificate from RTA Dubai:
- The applicant or a legal representative should be present at the centre.
- All traffic fines incurred on the vehicle must be paid before applying for a tourism certificate from RTA.
- An authorisation letter must be provided by the car owner in case the vehicle is taken outside the UAE by another person. The car owner must be present at the centre and submit the driver’s driving licence.
- UAE nationals and GCC citizens should submit a no-objection certificate from the Emirates Motorsports Organization only if the vehicle is to be taken outside GCC countries.
