E11
E11, also known by other names like Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road, Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Muhammad bin Salem Road, connects all the major UAE emirates except Fujairah. The 558 km highway is the country’s longest road and connects Al Silah in Abu Dhabi to Ras Al Khaimah. The route covers some of the most prominent cities of different emirates such as Bur Dubai, Al Majaz and Abu Dhabi Airport.
This arterial highway connects all the emirates, except Fujairah. Its total length is 558 km, which makes it the longest road in the UAE. Starting from Al Silah in Abu Dhabi, the road stretches all the way to Ras Al Khaimah. The E11 runs through the cities’ most prominent locations, like Al Majaz in Sharjah, Bur Dubai in Dubai and the Abu Dhabi International Airport. E95 or Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road
Running along the UAE and Oman border, this highway is not a busy one compared to the others in the list. Nonetheless, it is an important UAE highway that connects the eastern villages to the main cities. Finally joining the E90, the road connects Al Ain and UAE-Saudia Arabia border.
E311 or Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road
Connecting Dubai to different emirates, E311 is a 140 km long road. Also known as the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, the highway begins in Abu Dhabi at Al Shamkha. It covers various suburbs in Dubai such as Arabian Ranches and Dubai Silicon Oasis and enters Sharjah from Mirdrif. It further passes through Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and connects to E11 road in Ras Al Khaimah.

E84 or Sheikh Khalifa Highway
This artery is more commonly referred to as Dubai-Fujairah Road allowing you to travel to either emirate in around 40 to 60 minutes. It is the shortest route to travel from Dubai to Fujairah or back. Functional since 2011, it is about 30 km shorter than the previous roads for this route. It also constitutes a part of the bus route for Dubai-Fujairah traveling.
E77
This route starts at 7th interchange on E11 and moves all the way towards Hatta. The road intersects with Dubai-Al-Ain Highway and at Al Lehbab, it merges with E44 leading to Hatta. A stretch of this highway previously called Jebel Ali Lehbab Road was renamed as Expo Road in the anticipation of Dubai World Expo 2020. Moreover, it is one of the best roads to drive in the UAE where you can have a true experience of driving up to the 4101 feet long steep rock.
Other landmarks located around the route are Dubai Investment Park, Jebel Ali Industrial Area and Dubai South.
E44 or Al Khail Road
The E44 route is the best option for travelling between Dubai and Hatta. The route is referred to by several names. These are:
- Al Khail Road
- Dubai-Hatta Highway
- Al Aweer Road
- Ras Al Khor Road
These different names refer to different stretches of the same route – E44. In addition to taking you to Al Hatta, the route also touches Oman. Starting from the Jumeirah Village Triangle and Dubai Sport City intersection, the highway runs through Dubai International City and the industrial area of Ras Al Khor. If you drive across the E44 or any other route in the Emirates, always follow the general driving rules in the UAE to prevent any mishap or accident.

E611 or Emirates Road
Stretching a length of 110 km, E611 serves as an ideal route to people going to and from different emirates to Dubai and want to skip Dubai Downtown. Popularly known as the Emirates Road, this highway is an alternative route to E11 and E311.
E66 or Dubai-Al Ain Road
Now named as Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan Road, E66 route is more commonly referred to as Dubai-Al Ain road. The route starts at Wafi Mall junction in Dubai and ends close to Al Hili area in Al Ain. The road serves a s part of the Dubai-Al Ain bus route as well.
