It is operated electronically and can be opened or closed at any time. This 365 meter long bridge remains closed from 10 pm Thursday to 6 am Saturday. The bridge intersects near Yacht Dubai, Dubai Creek Golf and Deira City Dubai.
Al Maktoum Bridge
This 37 meter long bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Dubai. Although the bridge has gone through major modifications, it still secures historical importance. The latest modification was in 2009 when the Salik Dubai was installed. This 37 meter long bridge has five traffic lanes that connect Deira, Bur Dubai and Dubai Creek.
Al Garhoud Bridge
The old Al Garhoud bridge was constructed in 1976, and it was one of the oldest over Dubai Creek. The old bridge receives heavy traffic from different roads connected to it. Therefore, a new seven lane bridge with the same name was constructed near the old bridge. The old one was destroyed after the construction of the new Al Garhoud Bridge.
