McLaren P1 (2013 to 2015)
Debuting in 2013, McLaren P1 was the first hybrid supercar in the world. The model was equipped with a 3.8-litre V8 engine supported by an electric motor. This hybrid car motor was used to cater to the torque left due to turbo lag. Therefore, P1 can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 2.4 seconds.
The combined power generated by P1 was around 900 Nm, which provides it with a top speed of 350km/h. The 2013 P1 was an RWD supported by a 7-speed automatic transmission system. The first generation of McLaren P1 was discontinued in December 2015.
McLaren P1 GTR (2015 to 2016)
The McLaren P1 GTR model series was launched with the aim to provide an ultimate supercar to the drivers. The car was facelifted with a redesigned 80mm front track paired with radiator ducts. A large twin-element wing is installed at the rear end. The wing is equipped with a Drag Reduction System (DRS) that boosts acceleration performance.
The P1 was powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with an AWD drivetrain system. For better driveability control arms with coil springs, adjustable shocks and anti-roll bars were also installed.
McLaren P1 LM (2016 to 2017)
The McLaren P1 LM was a limited edition of P1 manufactured from 2016 to 2017. This special edition series was 60 kgs lighter in weight compared to previous models. Moreover, downforce was increased by 40% due to the installation of the rear wing and large front splitter.
Similar to F1, the V8 engine of P1 LM was lined with gold and was capable of producing 986 bhp in total.
McLaren P1 GT (2018)
The McLaren GT was the original P1 car modified by Lanzante. The exterior of these cars was redesigned with a larger rear wing, front splitter, front canards, and a quad exhaust system. The comfort of the interior was enhanced by the installation of a U-shaped steering wheel and leather-trimmed seats. The exterior carbon fiber body was painted with a green signature paint paying tribute to previous McLaren models.
