Masaar card, also written as Massar card at some places, is a payment gateway for fare in public buses in Ajman. APTA introduced a Masaar card to replace the need to carry cash and wait for the bus driver/conductor to collect the fare. The fare can be paid easily by scanning the card on a device installed in the bus.
The Masaar card can be used for intercity and intracity commutes, both via the public buses in Ajman.

WHERE TO BUY MASAAR CARD?
There are three ways to get a Masaar card in Ajman:
- Transport Authority (TA) Government of Ajman official website
- TA Digtial app (iOS) and AjmanOne (Android) by Ajman Public Transport Corporation
- Ajman Central bus station
If you opt to request a Masaar card online via the website or app, you will have to visit the central bus station to pay and collect the card.
HOW TO APPLY FOR MASAAR CARD ONLINE
Here’s how you can apply for Masaar card online on the TA Government of Ajman website:
- Browse the official TA Government of Ajman website and select ‘Massar Card Request’
- Enter your Emirates ID and click next to proceed to the application form
- Provide your complete details and click next to upload required documents
- Upload your Emirates ID copy (front and back) and recent photo of you
- Submit the application
- You will receive your application request number on a pop-up window
- A confirmation email on your provided email address will sent your Masaar card registration
- Take the print of the confirmation email along with the request number to the Ajman central bus station
- Pay at the counter and you will be issued your Massar card
HOW TO APPLY FOR MASSAR CARD AT THE AJMAN CENTRAL BUS STATION?
Simply head to the counter at the central bus station and provide your Emirates ID and other details. The officer at the counter will issue your Massar card and then you can charge your required amount in it by paying at the station counter.

The Masaar card price is AED 25 that includes a balance of AED 20. You can then top it up further according to your requirement.
HOW MUCH IS THE PER BUS TRIP COST WITH MASSAR CARD?
Masaar card holders get a discount on the bus fare and hence, the per trip cost is cheaper for them. Whereas, non-Massar card holders have to pay the full amount.
For Masaar card holders per trip cost starts from AED 3, whereas, bus fare for non-Massar card holders starts from AED 5.
HOW MUCH IS THE BUS TRIP COST WITH MASSAR CARD INTERCITY TRAVELLING?
APTA also offers inter-Emirate bus service. Therefore, those who frequently travel from Ajman to other Emirates can avail discounts on bus fare using Massar card.

HOW TO ADD CREDIT TO MASAAR CARD?
For Masaar card balance, you can head to the bus station or top-up online via the app or the official TA Government of Ajman website.
Below are the steps you have to follow for Masaar card recharge online via the website:
- Browse the website, select the services section and click on the Masaar card.
- Provide the Massar card number and click next to proceed
- Enter your cell phone number
- The current Masaar card balance will appear
- Enter the amount you want to top-up
- Select ‘confirm payment details’ and pay for the balance using your credit or debit card
- Upon successful transaction, an SMS will be sent on your registered cell phone number
