On 4th February 2022, Al Futtaim Lexus launched the all new Lexus NX 2022 in the UAE. The Lexus NX 2022 is a luxury mid-size crossover that comes packed with advanced features and specifications to offer comfort, performance and safety to drivers and passengers alike.
LEXUS NX 2022 IN THE UAE
Lexus NX 2022 is the hybrid-electric, second generation mid-size crossover that features exclusively new interior and exterior design, backed by electrified powertrain. The Lexus Driving Signature in the new model promises exceptional performance. The Lexus first 14-inch multimedia touch screen offers next level convenience and connectivity. Other highlights include the Lexus Safety System+ in the all new Lexus NX 2022 which ensures optimum safety for driver and passengers.
LEXUS N2 2022 SPECS AND FEATURES
The Lexus NX 2022 comes with two powertrain options. One powertrain option offers a 2.4L turbocharged engine that generates 275 horsepower and 430 nm torque. This turbocharged engine is backed by inline 4-cylinder, combined with an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission (8AT).
Secondly, the hybrid-electric system in the all-new Lexus NX 2022 is combined with Direct Shift Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Also, it is packed with two electric motors and a 2.5L petrol engine. The engine and motors are capable of yielding 188 and 234 horsepower, respectively, alongside delivering 239 and 391 nm of torque. The CVT installed with hybrid-electric system makes the Lexus NX 2022 fuel efficient. It is manufactured to consume around 21.5 km/L.
Moreover, the Lexus new model has the capability to charge batteries continuously. The hybrid-electric batteries are charged when the car decelerates or when braking. Also, the petrol engine keeps charging it. The Lexus NX 2022 drivers don’t need to plug in a power cord to charge the batteries. This all new model by Lexus is packed with an array of latest technologies that keeps it running without the need of a special fuel.
The all-new Lexus NX 2022 features a panoramic roof, also referred to as moonroof. This roof has an outer sliding glass and to deliver more light to rear-seat passengers, there is an extended rear section on the roof. The driver seat is also 8-way adjustable, the rear seats are split foldable at a ratio of 60:40 and ample space for luggage.
Moreover, Lexus NX 2022 model is equipped with a foot-operated backdoor system. This electrically powered backdoor facilitates users to use their feet when their hands are loaded with luggage.
Additionally, the 2022 Lexus NX adds the convenience of a hands-free electrically powered backdoor, which is activated via a foot-operated system that can be used when the user’s hands or arms are full.

INTERIOR
The Lexus NX 2022 interior has been designed to offer comfort and convenience to driver and passengers. The cockpit space features the Tazuna concept. Tazuna in Lexus NX 2022 offers ultimate driving experience and intuitive control to the driver. This feature keeps the driver focused on the road, while Tazuna’s multi-information display (MID), meters, multimedia screen and gauges are at one place. This gives drivers easy accessibility to read everything at a glance.

EXTERIOR
The Lexus NX 2022 exterior features a distinctive design with spindle grille at the front that adds to its outlook. The first slim Adaptive high-beam system (AHS) by Lexus is installed in the four projector LED headlights. Above the headlights, L-shaped daytime running lights are installed. When the driver will turn on the indicators, these lights will fade-out. The cluster of L-shaped all LED light and the signature blade lights span the width of Lexus NX.
The tailgate now has the Lexus name instead of the emblem that enhances the vehicle’s look, giving it a modern outlook.
Moreover, the exterior body of Lexus NX customers can choose from nine colors, followed by two new options, i.e. Madder Red and Sonic Chrome. The interior colors can also be picked from four colour options, including Hazel with Dark Rose and Black. Whereas, Black combined with Rich Cream is a brand-new addition to the interior theme.
Lexus NX features 20-inch wheels that are newly developed for this new model.
LEXUS NX 2022 TECHNOLOGY
The all-new Lexus NX 2022 is loaded with a range of advanced technologies to offer the best ever driving experience and convenience. One of the new technologies leading in the automotive industry is the connected-car solution. The Lexus NX 2022 comes with Connect App that allows motorists to connect with their car on-the-go.
With the Connect app, car owners can remotely access the car from anywhere. They can start the engine, close windows, lock or unlock doors, set the climate in the vehicle, find its location, view the dashboard, check trip history and statistical driving data.
Lexus NX 2022 features the Lexus Driving Signature that backs liner driving. This technology offers ride and drive comfort, combining the braking, throttle and steering performance.
The conventional door mechanism in Lexus NX 2022 is replaced by the e-latch system. This is an electronic control system for doors that facilitates smooth opening and closing.
The Thematic Ambient illumination in Lexus NX 2022 interior is another unique feature that improves cabin comfort. However, this is an optional feature that offers 14 nature inspired themes followed by Sunset, Rain Forest, Waterfall and various others. These themes are designed to express different emotions. Additionally, motorists can choose from 64 different ambient lighting colors.
LEXUS NX 2022 SAFETY FEATURES
The all-new Lexus NX 2022 in the UAE features high-tech Lexus Safety System+ technology. This system combines an array of various safety features that includes Emergency Steering Assist (ESA), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Daytime Pedestrian Detection (DPD). The system also has the all-speed range Dynamic Radar Cruise COntrol (DRCC) installed. The DRCC comes with two features that serve different safety purposes:
- One is the Turn Signal Control (TSC) that increases acceleration when overtaking on a highway while engaging the turn signal.
- The Curve Speed Reduction (RSR) also increases the acceleration when exiting the bend n and forcibly ends the car’s speed when entering it.
The standard modern safety features in this new model by Lexus also includes a pre-collision warning system. With this system the driver gets the alert of obstacles in the way and the vehicle slows down itself.
