ADNOC Distribution has announced a major advancement in the UAE’s electric mobility landscape with the launch of a landmark EV charging facility. The launch of the ADNOC Distribution EV charging hub represents a significant step towards strengthening the national charging infrastructure along key highways. It aligns with wider sustainability goals as the UAE accelerates its transition to cleaner transportation solutions.
Launch of the ADNOC Distribution EV Charging Hub
The ADNOC superfast EV charging hub in the Middle East has been launched at Saih Shuaib on the E11, a major UAE highway, strategically positioned between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Recognised as the largest superfast EV charging site in the Middle East, Africa and Türkiye and the sixth largest globally, the hub plays a central role in ADNOC Distribution’s plan to electrify the UAE’s highway network by the end of 2027. The announcement coincides with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, highlighting the growing global focus on sustainable energy and infrastructure.
ADNOC Superfast EV Charging Hub Capabilities and Strategic Location

The EV Megahub features 60 high-speed charging points, enabling most electric vehicles to charge from zero to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes. Its location along one of the UAE’s most vital transport corridors ensures seamless connectivity for intercity travel. By addressing EV range anxiety and charging accessibility, the ADNOC Distribution electric vehicle charging hub supports the practical adoption of electric vehicles for long-distance journeys.
Largest Superfast EV Charging hub – Roadmap for Nationwide Highway Electrification
As part of its long-term roadmap, ADNOC Distribution plans to establish 20 EV charging hubs across the UAE by the end of 2027, with 15 scheduled to open in 2026. These hubs are intended to cover all core national highways, forming a comprehensive network that enables uninterrupted electric mobility across the country. This infrastructure is a critical enabler of smarter transport systems and supports national sustainability objectives.
Supporting National Electric Vehicle Targets
The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has set a target for battery-electric vehicles to account for 50 percent of all cars on UAE roads by 2050. The ADNOC Distribution EV charging hub contributes directly to this ambition through the expansion of the E2GO network, one of the largest charge point operator networks in the country. With more than 400 charging points already installed and a target of up to 750 by 2028, ADNOC Distribution continues to support the future of EVs in the UAE.
The Hub by ADNOC: A New Commuter-Focused Experience
The EV Megahub also marks the opening of the first Hub by ADNOC location designed specifically for commuters. With a footprint three times larger than traditional service stations, the concept integrates fuel services, EV charging, food and lifestyle offerings. The Saih Shuaib site is the first to include a coworking space, providing a comfortable and productive environment for travellers moving between the UAE’s two largest cities, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Scaling Sustainable Mobility Infrastructure

ADNOC Distribution operates the country’s largest service station network with more than 560 service stations across the UAE. This extensive network enables efficient and sustainable scaling of EV infrastructure in line with anticipated demand. Through continued investment in emerging mobility solutions, ADNOC Distribution reinforces its commitment to shaping a future-ready transport ecosystem that supports national electrification goals and sustainable growth.
