Alfieri, Ernesto and Ettore collaborated on the development of the Tipo 26, Maserati&#8217;s original creation. In September 1929, a Maserati race car driven by Borzacchini established a new world record in Class C by covering more than 10 kilometres at a top speed of 246 km\/h. It had a 16-cylinder V4 engine. In the following years, Bindo, a younger Maserati brother, joined the company. In 1937, the Maserati brothers sold the company to Adolfo Orsi while maintaining their involvement in the business for several years. The official headquarters of the company relocated from Bologna to Modena, Italy, in 1939. During the same year, Maserati achieved a second consecutive victory at the Indianapolis 500 as driver Wilbur Shaw steered the 8CTF to triumph. The car was designed by Pininfarina and named after Alfieri and the number of cylinders. In addition, after World War II, Maserati achieved a triumphant victory at the Grand Prix in Nice in 1946. The genesis of the Ghibli traces back to its debut as a two-seater concept car at the 1966 Turin Motor Show.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This vehicle was equipped with a 4.7-litre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/v8-engine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">V8 engine<\/a>, which could be paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a three-speed automatic gearbox. Later, the management was taken over by Ferrari which was also under FIAT\u2019s control. In 1998, Maserati introduced the 3200 GT, a coupe designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and powered by a Ferrari engine. This model made its debut at the Paris Motor Show.
