The Capital City – Abu Dhabi is located on a cluster of islands in the Arabian Sea. The largest island is a fully functional city with several amenities. To connect these islands with each other and with the mainland the government has established multiple road networks and public transport systems. That said, the government has recently announced a Smart Mobility Project in Yas and Saadiyat Island. Smart Mobility System for Yas Island and Saadiyat Island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The advanced public transport in Abu Dhabi offers a rapid and comfortable commute option to the citizens. However, with the increasing environmental concerns, the government has shifted its focus to using a more sustainable and advanced transportation system. The aim is to create a transportation system that requires minimum human input and a reduced carbon footprint<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are all the details regarding the Phase II of Yas and Saadiyat Islands’ Smart Mobility Project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smart Mobility Vehicles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The smart mobility project consists of a fleet of 17 vehicles including TXAI, robo buses and Automatic Rapid Transits (ART). Initially, 8 TXAI (a self-driving vehicle<\/a>) will help citizens to travel from one island to another. Moreover, 6 mini robo buses and 3 ART are also included in the smart mobility network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Routes of Smart Mobility Vehicles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The TXAI will be functional from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm throughout the week on a 47.5 km long route. The main station of the route includes Louvre Museum<\/a>, Mamsha Saadiyat, Theodore Monod French International High School, NYU, The St. Regis Hotel, Saadiyat Beach, Saadiyat Beach Residences and Jumeirah.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the ART will cover only the major tourist attractions and commercial hubs of Yas Island<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
