This service facilitates motorists to renew their driving licence online. The RTA click and drive initiative has been taken to improve the driving licence services and to ease the migration process to smart and digital platforms. As a matter of fact, RTA is the first government entity across the globe that has digitised its driving licence service for motorists\u2019 convenience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worthwhile to note that for now, only motorists who need to renew their driving licence can utilise the click and drive service in the Emirate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-rta-has-digitalised-obtaining-a-driving-licence-service\"><strong>WHY RTA HAS DIGITALISED OBTAINING A DRIVING LICENCE SERVICE?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The click and drive initiative by RTA is in line with the government\u2019s goal of digital adoption by enabling paperless services through smart channels. Also, the idea was to revise the existing processes of all the vehicle licencing services and further streamline the procedures for the customers\u2019 convenience. Therefore, RTA came up with a click and drive service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SCOPE OF CLICK AND DRIVE SERVICE&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Roads and Transport Authority has already restructured 50% and above vehicle licencing services. The remaining is expected to be completed in the 4th quarter of 2022.&nbsp; The results were remarkable in the first stage of the project in which most of the vehicle ownership transfer services were processed without customers visiting the centre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the initial impact of click and drive service, according to RTA Dubai:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The click and drive service contributed to 92% of the digital transition and a 75% reduction in the average service delivery time was recorded. Soon more centres from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/rta-approved-eye-test-centres-dubai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">list of RTA approved eye testing centres<\/a> will be added upon expanding the click and drive service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eye testing service is operated in a vehicle at a time and customers can select the place by paying additional charges. Once they receive the eye test results, they can instantly renew their driving licence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>HOW TO USE RTA\u2019S CLICK AND DRIVE SERVICE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Motorists can use the click and drive service by booking in advance through the Al Jaber support centre on call +971-55-600-2013 or via email: ajoptic@aljaber.ae. You can select your appointment dates and pay the fees to book your slot. After the test is completed, download the test result and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/dubai-driving-licence-renewal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> renew your Dubai driving licence<\/a>. You will receive an electronic copy and a printed copy of the updated new licence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was all about the click and drive initiative by RTA in Dubai, launched in the Emirate for the convenience of motorists. The digitisation of all the services is intended to reduce service delivery time and save customers from the hassle of visiting service centres and avoid long queues. Moreover, make sure you keep a track of the driving licence expiry date to renew it at least a week prior to the last expiry date.
