To pursue a greener future, the government entities in Dubai have committed to embracing sustainable lifestyles. RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) and DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) in Dubai have collaboratively launched different initiatives which aim to reduce fuel utilisation by adopting green transportation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of these initiatives is the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030. One of the many goals of this strategy is the addition of new electric car charging stations in Dubai to reach a count of more than 1000 stations by 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030 was launched by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. This initiative encourages the use of electric and hybrid cars in Dubai to reduce the carbon footprint. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It works conjointly with various other initiatives such as the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. This strategy aims to produce 75% of the Emirate\u2019s energy requirements through clean sources by 2050. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EV Green Charger Initiative<\/a> launched by DEWA supports the Dubai Green Mobility Initiative by installing charging stations for electric vehicles across Dubai. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. By the end of May 2021, Dubai recorded 3,100 electric and 9,300 hybrid vehicles in the city.<\/li>
