When both these things come together we experience a Porsche on the big screen that is as important as the characters in the movie. To put it simply, many filmmakers featured various Porsche models in their movies. Movie makers feature famous cars owing to their versatility, symbol in the society and style. Porsche vehicles have all these qualities. Let’s go through some famous models of Porsches in movies.

List of Famous Porsches Featured in Movies

Featuring cars in movies can stand for many things depending on the storyline such as freedom, connection and passion among other things. Following are some popular Porsches featured in movies.

Porsche in Risky Business

A 1979 Porsche 928 was featured in Risky Business released back in 1983. The Porsche driven by Tom Cruise in the movie had sharp lines, flat body shape, minimal colour and a futuristic look.

The film had a 5-minute car chase scene that made quite an impression on the audiences. After being featured in the movie, many Porsche 928 cars were sold.

If you’re a fan of the model, here is a list of used Porsche 928 for sale in the UAE.

Porsche in Against All Odds

If you’re from the 80s and enjoyed movies, the Porsche featured in the movie “Against All Odds” must ring a bell when thinking of famous Porsches in movies. A red 1983 911 SC Cabriolet starred in the movie along with a Ferrari 308. The daylight chase scene between the two cars will definitely make an impact on the new generation who hasn’t seen this classic yet.

Porsche in No Man’s Land

No Man’s Land released in 1987, was a famous movie about thieves who stole Porsches in Los Angeles. The movie featured several 911s from that time including cabriolets, Targa’s and coupes. There is a six-minute car chase scene in the movie featuring a silver Porsche 930 Turbo with golden aftermarket wheels and a naturally aspirated modified Cabriolet.

In another scene, viewers enjoyed a black 930 Turbo. This stylish Porsche had a slant nose conversion, white-face gauges, chrome Fuchs and a cell phone antenna.

Porsche in Bad Boys

When thinking about movies with Porsche 911 in them, the first part of Bad Boys released in 1995 comes to mind. The first instalment of Bad Boys featured a 991 Turbo 3.6. The black Porsche in Bad Boys was the last rear-wheel drive turbocharged 911 by Porsche – and it made quite an impression! Apart from Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the obvious star in this movie was this car.

Porsche in Bad Boys for Life

Later on, in 2020, the third instalment to the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys for Life featured a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. The two cops can be seen cruising around Miami in a blue 911 Carrera. The car has an athletic body, timeless design and a sturdy engine. If you wish to drive this famous movie car in real life, here is a list of used Porsche 911 Carrera for sale in the UAE.

Porsche in Gone in Sixty Seconds

Gone in Sixty Seconds is among the most famous car movies of all time. An interesting fact about this movie is that the 996 Porsche 911 featured in it is actually an air-cooled 1978 Porsche 911 model. The moviemakers used an ordered 911 version and covered it with fiber glass bodywork from the new car. This was done because the stunt coordinator required a lighter car to crash making sure no one got injured. The older model was lighter to crash and it was naturally less expensive.

Porsche in Fast Five

Another model that cannot be forgotten when thinking of Porsches in movies is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS featured in Fast Five. In the movie, Paul Walker can be seen driving a 2011 Porsche GT3 RS. Fun fact about the movie is that the Porsche featured in it is actually a 996-series 911 Carrera 2 with new wheels and a graphic package. That said, the Porsche is made to look like a GT3 RS in the movie.

Porsche in Red 2

When thinking of movies with Porsches, Red 2 also comes to mind. Bruce Willis can be seen speeding a Porsche GTS in the movie. The character played by Willis takes a black 997 Porsche Carrera GTS for a spin around a pretty European city.

That is all about the famous Porsches in movies. Here are some interesting facts about Porsche for those who adore the car brand.
