The production of the first-generation Ford GT was started in 2004 and lasted till 2006. Around 4000 GTs were manufactured during this period. This generation was especially manufactured from lightweight material to maintain its power to weight ratio. The exterior was aerodynamically designed with a wide bonnet and a long front grille accompanied by round-shaped fog lights. This generation of GT was powered by a 5.4-litre supercharged V8 engine<\/a> that can produce a maximum of 550hp. This engine can accelerate GT from 0 to 96 km\/h in just 3.5 seconds. The supercharged V8 engine was paired with a 6-speed manual transmission system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Generation Ford GT (2017 to 2019)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The second-generation GT was released in 2017. This generation was completely redesigned with a sleeker exterior and more aerodynamic shape contrary to its predecessors. The generation was offered in a mid-engine two-door coupe shape. The exterior features some particular details such as side pods that were rarely found in the vehicles at that time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cabin environment provided a sportier look with carbon-fiber bucket seats and a Gorilla glass windshield. Along with smart connectivity, the 2017 GT model also had an advanced infotainment system<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the hood, a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine<\/a> that can generate a total of 647 hp was present. The manual transmission system was replaced by a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission system. The limited-edition Competition Series (2017 to 2018), 66 Heritage Edition (2017) and 67 Heritage Edition (2018) were also part of this generation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current generation of Ford GT was facelifted with a redesigned front grille and spoiler at the rear end. The interior is driver-focused with minimislatic options, a number of control options are present on the steering wheel similar to F1 steering wheels<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GT is offered with an efficient 3.5-litre V6 engine equipped with higher-energy ignition coils and gallery-cooled pistons. Moreover, titanium exhaust is used for better engine cooling and air flow. This efficient engine provides the Ford GT with a top speed of 348km\/h.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
