The VAST system in Abu Dhabi can detect seat belt violation and notify driver as well as the authority<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Abu Dhabi Digital Authority has developed a VAST radar system that automatically detects traffic safety violations such as not wearing of seat belt, using a phone while driving, and various other offences carried out by the citizens. This provides the authorities to maintain strict traffic rules as anyone violating the rules of conduct gets an SMS notification. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vehicular Attention and Safety Tracker takes high-resolution images through artificial intelligence cameras. With this system installed, the idea is to raise awareness of safe driving, as well as intimidate careless drivers on the go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tracker has set up radar monitoring devices at various points across the city. Artificial intelligence technology allows the authorities to capture high-resolution pictures from these multiple points that are simultaneously examined by VAST. The tracker detects the use of mobile devices or seat belt violations almost instantly, thereby sending an SMS notification to warn them for doing it and giving them a chance to immediately correct their conduct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
