It combines the features of a gondola lift and a monorail, offering a new urban mobility experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-will-the-dubai-sky-pod-work\"><strong>How Will the Dubai Sky Pod Work<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dubai Sky Pod system will feature small, driverless pods suspended from a lightweight beam located around <strong>7.5 metres<\/strong> above ground. Each pod will be powered by linear motors that provide thrust and braking while ensuring the pods stay horizontal throughout the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers will board the pods at ground level. Once onboard, the pod will ascend to the elevated beam and travel directly to the selected destination. Each pod will be equipped with a touch-screen interface for passengers to choose their stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although every pod functions independently, the network is synchronised.
