It laid the foundation for future <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/history-toyota-land-cruiser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">generations of the Toyota Land Cruiser<\/a>, one of the world&#8217;s most successful off-road vehicles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company launched the Toyopet Crown in 1955, a passenger car developed entirely using Japanese technology. Toyota entered overseas markets in 1957 when the Crown became the first Japanese passenger car exported to the United States.
