Built on Kia\u2019s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV9 is the first mid-size SUV to use this platform, pairing a flat floor with a spacious three-row cabin. The model is offered in three grades, each tuned for a slightly different priority, from efficient daily driving to outright performance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-kia-ev9-power-range-and-fast-charging-nbsp\">Kia EV9: Power, Range and Fast Charging&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The entry-level Air grade runs a single motor producing 215 hp and 350 Nm of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/engine-torque\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">torque<\/a>, paired with a 76.1 kWh battery for an estimated range of up to 443 km. It covers 0-100 km\/h in 8.2 seconds.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Earth and GT-Line models get a more powerful dual-motor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/awd-in-cars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AWD system<\/a> with 379 hp and 700 Nm of torque, along with a larger 99.8 kWh battery. The Earth grade has a range of up to 492 km and a 0-100 km\/h sprint of 6 seconds. On the other hand, the GT-Line sharpens that further to 5.3 seconds and stretches the estimated range to 505 km on a single charge. At its peak, the AWD model with 21-inch tyres produces a maximum output of 283 kW.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EV9\u2019s multi-charging system is compatible with normal, fast and ultra-fast charging, including both 400V and 800V stations, with no adapter needed. In the AWD long-range version, a fast charger can add up to 219 km of range in 15 minutes, while charging from 10% to 80% takes around 24 minutes. A heat pump system also recaptures waste heat from the motor and other electric components, cutting winter range loss by close to 20%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EV9 supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) through its Integrated Charging Control Unit, allowing external devices to be powered without significantly affecting the main battery. It is also prepared for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/bidirectional-charging\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vehicle-to-Grid<\/a> (V2G) functionality, enabling potential energy flow back to the grid when infrastructure supports it.
