The event took place from October 7th to October 9th, 2024 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expo included over 300 international exhibitors along with a dedicated rehabilitation centre. Moreover, a variety of different local and private entities also took part in the event. The exhibit displayed innovative global practices for enhancing accessibility for people of determination. These practices are set to make the lives of PoD better with the help of different technologies and services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition aims to promote collaboration and networking between international companies for the development of products or services catering to PoD.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-rta-initiatives-for-people-of-determination\">RTA Initiatives for People of Determination&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Reflecting Dubai\u2019s commitment to enhancing inclusivity, the RTA has introduced various new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/transport-facilities-people-of-determination-dubai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transport facilities for people of determination in Dubai<\/a>. Below you can find the RTA&#8217;s initiative at AccessAbilities Expo 2024 along with their details.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-customised-buses-for-people-of-determination\">Customised Buses for People of Determination&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, RTA unveiled its new buses that are specifically tailored for people of determination. These buses include features that make transportation easier and accessible.\u00a0 In addition, RTA screened a feature film about the services offered to people of determination in Dubai metro and tram stations. These services are compliant with the \u2018Dubai Building Code.\u2019 The Dubai Building Code entails a set of strict guidelines that help enhance accessibility. Some key features available at the Dubai metro and tram stations are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Indoor and outdoor passages&nbsp;<\/li><li>Automatic entrance doors<\/li><li>Sloping ramp<\/li><li>Informational signboards<\/li><li>Designated waiting areas<\/li><li>Spacious elevators<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-customer-happiness-centre-on-wheels\">Customer Happiness Centre On Wheels<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Secondly, RTA brought forward the \u2018Customer Happiness Centre On Wheels\u2019 initiative offering a variety of services. This RTA Initiative for People of Determination at AccessAbilities Expo 2024 is developed for both senior citizens and people of determination. Some of these services include vehicle registration, vehicle possession certificate and vehicle ownership transfer.
