The difference between them lies in their location. The ECU unit supplies the appropriate fuel quantity based on the amount of air in the engine. This ensures the optimum combustion process and the engine\u2019s longevity. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/mass-air-flow-sensor-maf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mass flow sensor<\/a> is usually found alongside the intake tube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-intake-tube\">Intake Tube<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The intake tube provides air with a pathway to the engine. It transports air from outside to the throttle body. These tubes should have minimal to no bends to avoid air resistance. This way the air flows directly to the engine, expediting a successful combustion procedure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-throttle-body\">Throttle Body<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/all-about-car-throttle-body\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">throttle body<\/a> controls the air passing through the mass flow sensor. It consists of a hollow part carrying a throttle plate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This plate opens, letting the air in when you accelerate the car. It closes, halting the airflow, when you release the accelerator.
