The car status section on the touchscreen provides a colour-coded image of your Model 3 or Model S Plaid. It offers essential, easy-to-read information about the battery, motors, tyres and brakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you initiated the Lap Timer, it would reset each time you pass the start\/finish location for seamless tracking of your laps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s essential to be aware that when Track Mode is active, the following conditions apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Autopilot features are deactivated.<\/li><li>The Slip Start setting is overridden.<\/li><li>Energy usage experiences an increase.<\/li><li>Entertainment features are not accessible.<\/li><li>Settings for Adaptive Suspension Damping are automatically disabled (Track Mode optimises adaptive damping to support aggressive driving).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can easily disable Track Mode using the touchscreen settings whenever needed. Here&#8217;s a breakdown of the customisation options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Handling Balance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Slide the bar to tailor the handling balance during turns.<\/li><li>Opt for a front-biassed under-steering setup if the vehicle feels too loose.<\/li><li>Choose a rear-biassed setup for increased rotation.<\/li><li>Options range from 100\/0 (100% front biassed for under-steering) to 0\/100 (100% rear biassed for over-steering) in 5% increments.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stability Assist<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Adjust the slider to set the level of assistance from stability control systems.<\/li><li>Choose any level between -10 to +10.<\/li><li>+10 engages all stability assist systems, resembling driving without Track Mode.<\/li><li>-10 disables all stability systems, putting control solely in the hands of the driver.<\/li><li>The default setting (0) provides a balanced mix of automatic stability and driver control.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Regenerative Braking<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use the slider to determine the amount of regenerative braking available.<\/li><li>Options range from 0 to 100% in 5% increments.<\/li><li>Tesla recommends 100% when using base brakes to prevent overheating.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Post-Drive Cooling<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Enable to allow cooling systems to continue cooling the vehicle after you exit.<\/li><li>Cooling stops when components reach a sufficient temperature or when you power Model S off and on.<\/li><li>Useful for quickly cooling components between driving sessions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Brake Temperatures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Enable to display brake temperatures and associated warnings.<\/li><li>Consider disabling it if you&#8217;ve installed an aftermarket high-performance braking system.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Save Dashcam for Laps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Enable to save video and data on a USB flash drive when using the Lap Timer.<\/li><li>This requires a USB flash drive with a Tesla Track Mode folder.<\/li><li>Track Mode stores video, telemetry data, and car status for each lap.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Display on Touchscreen<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The currently chosen setting is shown in the top left corner of the Track Mode pane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Profiles<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Track Mode supports up to 20 settings profiles.<\/li><li>To delete a profile, touch &#8220;Delete&#8221; Press &#8216;START&#8217; on the Lap Timer to commence your driving session. As you drive past the designated start-to-finish location, the Lap Timer begins counting for each lap.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, Track Mode records a video of the driving session using the front cameras. This happens when the \u2018Save Dashcam for Laps\u2019 feature is activated, and a correctly formatted USB flash drive is inserted.
