Additionally, the authorities continue to take initiatives to further enhance the transportation system. A rather recent development in this regard is the Automated Rapid Transit (ART) project. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has launched the pilot phase of Automated Rapid Transit in Abu Dhabi. The state-of-the-art project falls in line with the government\u2019s aim to provide feasible transportation options. Additionally, it is an environment-friendly mobility option &#8211; making the project all more intriguing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First introduced on Saadiyat Island and Yas Island, the ultra-advanced transportation system will now operate on Abu Dhabi Island. Consequently, the ART project will provide an enjoyable and feasible way for the residents and visitors of Abu Dhabi to travel in the capital city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-buses-in-the-pilot-phase-of-automated-rapid-transit-by-itc\"><strong>Buses in the Pilot Phase of Automated Rapid Transit by ITC<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The three-carriage electric vehicles offer a perfect blend of Tram and buses. While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dubizzle.com\/blog\/cars\/dubai-tram\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dubai Tram<\/a> and buses are common in Dubai, the ART vehicles offer a unique travel experience to the people of Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The electric buses used in the pilot phase of the Automated Rapid Transit project in Abu Dhabi Island have a seating capacity of 200 passengers. Additionally, all the buses are air-conditioned &#8211; ensuring passenger comfort at all times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the electric buses have zero emissions. The environment-friendly aspect adheres to the government\u2019s aim to promote eco-friendly transportation. The buses pass through Zayed the First and the Corniche on Abu Dhabi Island. The trial phase consists of a total of 25 stations with routes covering an approximate distance of 27 kilometres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first run starts at Al Reem Mall at 10 am while the last trip commences at 2 pm. Additionally, the service from Marina Mall starts at 11 pm with the last trip at 3 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the pilot phase of Automated Rapid Transit by ITC, the electric buses operate from Friday to Sunday.
