Petrol prices in the UAE often remain constant, but some changes have been observed in recent months. Even a small shift (increase or decrease) in petrol prices can have an impact on other industries. Generally, the logistics department is the most affected one. Fuel prices are often considered the key to the increase or decrease of inflation, as they can impact living costs and the costs of finished products.

Why do petrol Prices Fluctuate?
The change in oil prices can be due to multiple factors. However, these factors can not be held responsible every time, as there are many unpredictable circumstances also included. Here are some of the major causes that can impact petrol prices.
- The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) controls 80% of the global petrol supply. The organization regulate prices for the benefit of member countries.
- The difference between the supply and demand of petrol can affect petrol prices across the world.
- Natural disasters that impact the oil supply, storage or refining can also cause price fluctuations.
- Local taxes and interest rates are also responsible for creating instability in prices.
