Paying Parking Fee of a Car With RAK Number Plate
Ras Al Khaimah doesn’t have parking fees in the majority of its areas. Payment Display Machines (P/D) is the good old method of paying parking in Dubai with a RAK number plate car. However, you need to make this payment with AED one and 50 fils coins, which requires you to carry that kind of cash on you.
mParking in RAK
RTA’s mParking service is a more convenient car parking payment option especially if you prefer to carry cards and e-wallet. The customers of Etisalat, Du and All Virgin Mobile can pay the parking fee in RAK via a simple SMS sent in the correct format to 7275. The format is:
- Plate No – Space – Parking Zone No – Duration
In case you car is already RTA registered, you follow a different format:
- Nickname – Space – Parking Zone No – Duration
However, if your car is registered in another emirate, you must add the emirate code before the nickname or the plate. Check this code list to find out the correct emirate code for your relevant emirate.

Once done, you will receive a confirmation message for the car parking fee. It gives you the details of your virtual ticket. If you do not receive a text, call at 800-9090, the customer service centre to get a confirmation.
Also, an SMS will be sent to you 10 minutes prior to the expiration of your paid period. You can extend the duration by sending Y to 7275.
Also, remember to have enough balance in your mobile account to be able to pay parking fees in Dubai with a RAK number plate car. A fee of 30 fils is also deducted from the account as service charges.
