Mawaqif – A Guide to Abu Dhabi Parking
MAWAQiF is the official parking management system under Abu Dhabi Mobility (formerly Integrated Transport Centre), responsible for overseeing parking spaces across the Emirate. Through a structured programme, it aims to improve accessibility, reduce congestion and support sustainable urban mobility. The initiative aligns with Plan Abu Dhabi 2030, contributing to the emirate’s long-term development goals.
With enforcement guided by the ‘Parking Law’ (Law No. 18 of 2009), MAWAQiF inspectors ensure compliance across various parking zones. These include surface parking areas, multi-storey facilities and private premises, ensuring an organised and efficient system for all users.
