ATCUAE Services
The Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE provides a wide range of services, such as international driving license, carnet de Passages, and Transports Internationaux Routiers (TIR) carnet. In this section, we take a look at ATCUAE services in detail.
Carnet de Passage
CPD, is a customs certificate that covers the temporary admittance of motor vehicles. In many countries throughout the world, the CPD is still necessary for the temporary admittance of private automobiles, commercial vehicles, or other types of motor vehicles.
The car owner must fill out and sign the application form. A photocopy of the customer’s passport and UAE residency visa, a photocopy of the automobile registration, a copy of the customer’s valid UAE driving licence, and cash or bank guarantee are all necessary to get a carnet de passage.
International Driving License
The IDL’s major role is to allow law enforcement and other authorities in other countries to read your licence in their native language. The International Driving License, which is valid for one year, demonstrates that you have a valid driver’s licence in your home country. It can also assist in protecting you and your family in the case of an accident involving a car while overseas, or the loss of legal identity, such as a passport. The IDL is recognised worldwide and is available in ten different languages.
The application process for IDL is quite straightforward. All you need is official identification from an Emirates ID authority distributor, a copy of your current UAE driving licence, and two passport-size pictures. You can get your international driving licence from the ATCUAE web portal.
Transports Internationaux Routiers (TIR)
TIR is the only worldwide transit system that allows transfer of sealed goods from one country to another with customs control recognised across the supply chain. This reduces administrative and financial obligations, and any outstanding customs fees and taxes will be covered by an international guarantee system.
