New ‘Alert Trailer’ to Minimise Traffic Accidents in Sharjah
In line with the UAE traffic laws, Sharjah Police has also implemented strict traffic rules to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians. To further boost road safety and minimise the number of accidents, Sharjah police has introduced the ‘Alert Trailer’.
What is Alert Trailer by Sharjah Police
The Alert Trailer by Sharjah Police is a locally made project developed by Emirati cadres. The Sharjah Alert Trailer was manufactured in around seven days at the Sharjah Police lab, which has been specially designed as an innovative way to improve road safety.
The idea behind the development of Alert Trailer project is to replace traffic patrols at the time of an accident when road closure is mandatory. It will also help in closing the roads to ensure road safety in Sharjah in case of a heavy vehicle breakdown.
More about the Sharjah Police Alert Trailer
The Alert Trailer features solar-powered lights that can alert motorists at the right time, even if the incident has occurred at the farthest possible distance on the road. This is one of the eco-friendly solutions for managing traffic in the Emirate that can also withstand all types of climatic conditions.
With the new system in place, Sharjah Police can ensure the safety of their men while working on the spot as well as the safety of other vehicles and motorists.
Road and Traffic Safety Initiatives in Sharjah
Besides, it is important for every motorist and pedestrian to follow the traffic rules. Since the UAE has witnessed many fatal road accidents in the past, the authorities have enforced rigid traffic laws. Moreover, depending on the severity of the traffic offence, one either has to pay hefty fines or penalties, including imprisonment. Hence, as a responsible driver, make sure to drive carefully and ensure the safety of yourself as well as others.
Those who frequently commute to Sharjah or other Emirates for leisure or work on their car, should be aware of the traffic laws of the respective Emirate. For instance, if you are going to Dubai, it is better to go through the traffic fines list in Dubai and similarly in other Emirates. The traffic rules may be different in each Emirate in terms of severity, but the fines may differ.
This was all about the Alert Trailer by Sharjah Police and initiatives for minimising the accident rate in the Emirate. Soon Sharjah will have more Alert Trailers installed on all the major roads. As soon as we receive more information about the project, we will update you here.
