According to Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, the decision to reduce the value of traffic fines by 50% came under the directives of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council.
The discount on traffic fines in Ajman aims to ease the financial burden on individuals and to encourage the happiness of community members. However, the available traffic discounts extend to all motorists, except the ones evolved in serious violations. Excluded traffic violations include reckless driving incidents endangering lives, red light violations and trucks overtaking at a speed of 80km/h. The discount applies to all violations committed before October 31, 2024.
Motorists can pay fines through the Ajman Police app, the Ministry of Interior app, Sahl kiosks or in person at Ajman Police service centres. Vehicle impoundments and black points for applicable violations will also be waived during this period, promoting financial relief and encouraging compliance with traffic rules.
Vehicle owners were also advised to avoid committing road violations and accidents by following proper driving rules and regulations in the UAE.

Ajman traffic fine discount offers do not cover the following violations:
- Driving recklessly in a way that is dangerous to the driver’s life or lives and safety of others
- Driving a heavy vehicle recklessly in a way that poses danger to the drivers’ life or lives and safety of others
- Heavy vehicles jumping a red signal
- Truck drivers overtaking where prohibited
- Going over a speed limit of 80 km/h
- Making changes to a vehicle’s engine or chassis without a licence
