There have been a lot of people who have helped and supported dubizzle over the years from the mere seedling of a site that it was to the slightly bigger seedling of a site that it is now. Unfortunately, most of those people don’t look very good in photos so they weren’t invited. Luckily we were able to lure a bunch of freeloading good-looking people to our party with free booze, sushi, music, prizes and art. Just kidding. In all seriousness, a lot of very busy friends of dubizzle pulled together to make this an amazing party for everyone.
Thanks so much to Hamdan and Rami from Abri for taking time off their schedule of playing on Brick Lane in London to do a live set for us here at the party. Thanks loads to Jon Saxon, editor of Evo, and his buddy Big Red for Djing the best lounge-funk set this city has ever seen. A big thank you to Vivek and his bro from Whitespace and Cliché magazine for spending three days painting a huge, elaborate dubizzle inspired urban mural that you can see featured in the photos below. And last but not least, thank you to Rachel from Jamjar, the girls from MMI, and the boys from Blue Banana for making sure the party didn’t suck! The dubizzle style award goes to the famous dude with the red bowtie (matching red shoes not shown).
